My first pregnancy purchase

So i have just past 14 weeks and am starting to feel better.  The morning sickness has passed, and i am not as tired, however my belly is expanding!  Hubby says it looks like i like drinking beer. Of course the expanding belly is a good thing.  It means are bubs is growing and developing which is great.

When i was pregnant the first time around i was so excited i wanted the world to know i jumped into maternity clothes as soon as i could.  This time around i want to stay in my 'non pregnancy' clothes for as long as possible, especially my jeans.  So i decided this time to invest in a 'Tummy Tie'.  For those that have not seen these they are made of durable, high quality elastic material and come in a pack of three.  They are easily attached to your jeans/shorts/pants/skirts etc and no one even has to know your wearing them.

I ordered mine just after Christmas (it may also have been an excess food belly) and have been wearing it ever since.  I am hoping to avoid maternity clothes for as long as possible and this little product is going to help me do it.  So if your waistline is expanding but your not ready to put away your favourite jeans i suggest you get over to Tummy Tie and see for yourself what a great product this is.

Makes it a perfect fit!

A little help:
Violet was born 4 days early and weighed 2640 grams.

Mark is one of three boys and one girl, one brother has a boy and his sister has two girls.
(don't like our odds of having a boy.... LOL!)

All Competition winners must be subscribers of our newsletter.
Competition closes 15th July 2010 and the winners will be announced when bubs is born.
Where multiple answers per question are correct the winner will be drawn randomly using random.org

And then there was four!

We are soooooo excited to announce that we are having another baby! Bubs is due on the 30/7/2010 and we can't wait. Big sister Violet sways between wanting a brother or a sister but she will have to wait until bubs arrives as we are going to have a surprise. Although Violet is 2 years and 9 months I have not forgotten what labour feels like so I want the excitement of not knowing if bubs is a boy or a girl.

Bubs was jumping around on the screen and I could see little fingers and two little feet. I am in love already.

So over the coming months I will be sharing our precious moments as our bubs grows and develops.

Being a parent is the greatest gift in the world.

We're back from our mini getaway

Talk about BLISS, no phones, no tv and no laptop for four days!!!

We have just got back from a much needed mini break at Kangaroo Island.  Having never been there before I was not sure what to expect, but talk about a great way to get away with kids.  We stayed at Hanson Bay.  Just about as far away from Penneshaw as we could get.  It was stunning! The view anywhere else in the world would cost a million dollars.  Ok so our accomodation was very basic but it did the job.  Plenty on relaxing which is what we were hoping for.

Imagine as sun is setting watching the wallabies hoping around in front of your cabin and waking to a bay full of dolphins.  We also saw a Koala close enough to touch and heaps of seals on the beach at Seal Bay and Admirals Arch.

The beaches were stunning, in fact close to the best we have seen in our travels around the world and right on our door step.

But for Violet I think her favourite part was drawing in the sand with a stick with her dad.

If you are thinking of getting away from technology and showing the kids a heap of animals in their natural habitat then Kangaroo Island is the place to go.
